What about Representatives Barney Frank, Tammy Baldwin, and Jared Polis?

There are three glaring omissions from our shortlist of 30 pro-equality candidates: Equality Caucus Co-Chairs and openly LGBT Representatives Barney Frank, Tammy Baldwin, and Jared Polis.

We didn’t forget about them, we promise.

Because these three do such good work in Congress on behalf of their constituents, we’ve decided through our National Stonewall Democrats PAC board to offer endorsements to these candidates and 53 other pro-equality Democrats. For the ElectEquality program, we wanted to focus our time and money (and yours!) on close races – and if we learned anything from November 2nd, it was that our members chose impressive pro-equality candidates in some of the tightest races across the country.

National Stonewall Democrat lent endorsements and support when there were concerns about Rep. Barney Frank’s fierce (Sarah Palin, Log Cabin, and GOProud  endorsed) opponent, Sean Bielat.  The conservative LGBT upstart GOProud even went as far as making a commercial against Rep. Frank and the “real Democrats of Washington, DC”. If anything, this commercial proves the importance of NSD’s endorsements and our commitment to electing pro-equality Democrats across the country.
